Confirmed sighting: KP Roysters Southern Fried Chicken flavour
Posted: 18:54 Mon 05-Dec-2005. Price: 38p. Location: Corner newsagents, Plymouth. Nutritional unusualness: 10g fat per 31g bag.
"Magnetic Ham Sandwich" reports: Long ago there used to be 3 flavours of Roysters Bubbled Chips sold in the UK - T-Bone Steak, Southern Fried Chicken, and Triple Cheese 'n' Chive. But in about the year 2000, KP Snacks (for it is they who produce this brand) discontinued all but the most popular flavour, T-Bone Steak. Well, now 5 years on we see the re-appearance of the Southern Fried Chicken flavour. The packs are now yellow instead of orange, but the taste is familiar. An unusual combination of dried onion and fennel oil is used to good effect to accurately simulate the southern fried taste, and the bubbles on the crisps make them nice and crispy to bite into.
...A couple of interesting candidates for KFC's "secret blend of 11 herbs and spices" there from "Magnetic Ham Sandwich" - while, in other curiously-textured crunches, Ryvita are reportedly planning a New Year launch for their Goodness Bars ("wholegrain rye bars with fruit and pumpkin seeds" - in Mixed Berry, Apple and Sultana, or Cranberry and Raisin, from 39p), when Walkers will also be following up their Nobby's crisps and nuts range with Nobby's Cuts, a "meaty beef jerky snack made from Argentinean beef" (£1.25 for 25g).

Comment: These are alright. The flavor is pretty good, but they're WAAAAAY too salty.
