Irrespective of Old Pieter's benighted friend who was "forced" to become a teetotaller, I too have been adversely affected by food additives, namely the hidden levels of lard in various favourite choccies, pizzas, fish suppers and cakes. I have researched various papers, the BMJ, telephoned Esther Rantzen and even contacted the charming Mr Govender who replied: "go away, I have deal with enough nutters already". Levels of lard are increasing, together with its corresponding increase in the numbers of elasticated waistbands in my wardrobe and a faint whiff of body odour. My wife has left me, the children ignore me and the dog won't speak. So this very website's championing of lardy treats just takes the biscuit. Preferably a custard cream, if there aren't any mint Viscounts. I would appreciate your guidance. I have consulted my GP who recommended that every time I want a snack, I should have a caffeinated drink instead.
